John sat at his laptop, staring at the empty space on his blog. It had been a while since he had sat down to type something intelligent and interesting, but today he felt he should write something. Anything. Today was the anniversary of Sherlock's - his old roomate and best-friend's death. John deemed today to be an appropriate day to pay homage in some small way. He began to type.

John closed his eyes, listening to the pounding rain on the window. The rain always relaxed him, just the sound of the pitter-patter of water hitting concert, the way the sky darkened and everything just slowed down. John stood up and walked to his room, not attracting the attention of his lover and flatmate, Sherlock Holmes.
John returned moments later with an Ipod touch and some portable speakers. He set them down on the table next to him and fumbled with the cord for a few minutes. Sherlock looked up from his book and shot John a questioningly look.

Sherlock picked up his phone, and typed, 'John. I'm sorry. SH'. His fingers were shaking as he pressed send.
John sat up straight, he had just dozed off in the living room after watching the News, and the buzzing of his phone in his pocket had made him jump, he unlocked his mobile phone and looked at the text.
His eyes filled with tears and took a few moments to take in the fact that his one wish could have come true. 'Sherlock. You're alive? -JW' he replied.
A few moments later, he received another message, 'That is irrelevant. You need to come pick me up. SH'
'Irrelevant?! But... Ugh. Where are you, Sherlock? JW."
